Pattaya city is located in Chonburi Province. It is only 1 hour and 30 minute driving from Bangkok. The city is divided into 3 parts: North Pattaya, Central Pattaya, and South Pattaya. How to get to and travel around Pattaya
Located near Bangkok, Pattaya is very easy to get to. There are several transportation methods to get from Bangkok to Pattaya.
1. Bangkok to Pattaya bus at Bangkok Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekkamai) or Mo-chit 2 bus terminal or Suvarnabhumi airport.
2. Mini van departed from Victory Monument.
3. Private car
4. Ordinary train departed from Bangkok station during weekdays 1 train per day and express train during weekend.
5. Airlines, there are several airlines that operate flight routes both domestic and international at U-tapao airport (Pattaya's nearest airport) such as Thai Air Asia and Bangkok Airways
In order to travel around to visit attractions around Pattaya, you can take a taxi or a pick-up truck, also known as "Song Taew". The pick-ups go along the Pattaya Beach Street, allowing you to explore beautiful beach views. Travel fare is around 10-20 Baht.
