The craftsmanship is really amazing. With your entry ticket (500bath) a guided tour is included. Specific spoken language tours start regularly. Details are explained of the sculptures of which an untrained eye child just walk by.
After this tour you can walk freely.

Amazing wood craftsmanship

Words do not do this justice. Finally visited it and was in awe. To me this is one of the wonders of the world. The vision, the teamwork, the beauty, the message, the feeling, the spirituality, and so much more really touched my heart.

An amazing spiritual destination.

The place itself is very beautiful. The “temple” is for sure impressive and beautiful to look at. It would have gotten 5 stars however, once entering I wish I didn’t spend my money on this money seeking place. It’s 500 baht with a mandatory tour.

All of the animals around the sanctuary are treated absolutely terrible. First you encounter starved goats and horses that can be fed by tourists. They are ties up for tourist to have a little “fun”.  

Then you encounter all other small animals just beating the heat. And then as the last surprise you can see beautiful elephants standing in the sun with chains around their legs, waiting until someone will ride them. In the meantime they are poked and slapped with a stick. Plus starved so they take the mini bananas from people (when they pay 100 baht to feed them). THIS SHOULD NOT BE OKAY. 

And then after reading Tripadvisor comments I see the company sending the precise same message regarding this abuse to everyone. Step up and be better. Ban this abuse.

Now not even mentioning all the other commercial activities they have not regarding animals. Money seeking, it’s a shame. Wish I did not spend my money on this.

It is an amazing temple in a beautiful location.  Breathtaking.  Completely made from wood, the craftsmanship has to be seen to be believed it takes your breath away.  The wooden carvings are masterpieces.  There are amenities on site, and you can get boat and elephant rides.

And architectural marvel made completely of carved wood. A guide will accompany you as you tour the 4 wings of the Sanctuary showcasing cultural themes: Thai, Chinese, Hindu, Buddhist, and Khmer. Before you enter the Sanctuary, you will enter a workshop area where workers are crafting parts of the building. The inner halls feature intricate carving work and impressive structures. The building itself is a marvel of woodworking that you should definitely see for yourself.
Ticket can be purchased online for THB 100 less at third-party vendors. Save yourself the hassle of queueing at the ticket booth and paying full price!
