About Boonsiri High-Speed Ferries
Established on November 15, 2013, Boonsiri High Speed Ferries provides fast, secure, and comfortable marine transit across the eastern Gulf of Thailand. The company debuted with its flagship aluminum catamaran, "Koh Kood Fantasea," which operates year-round from Laem Sok Pier in Trat to Koh Mak and Koh Kood. By bypassing private resort docks, this vessel maintains an average speed of 25 knots to complete the 55-kilometer journey in approximately 90 minutes. It features computerized stabilizers, international safety systems, and two air-conditioned decks seating 200 passengers in total, including an open-air section on the upper deck.
In late 2018, the operator aggressively expanded both its fleet and network. October 2018 marked the launch of "Haad Thanam," a larger three-deck catamaran accommodating up to 288 passengers, complete with a 30-seat VIP lounge, on-board video entertainment, and a 56-seat open-air observation deck. By November 2018, Boonsiri established a new office at Bang Bao Pier in Koh Chang, launching direct inter-island routes linking Koh Chang to Koh Kood and Koh Mak to offer seamless island-hopping transitions.
Today, Boonsiri stands out as one of the leading operators in Trat province providing all-in-one transportation packages from Bangkok and Pattaya directly to these holiday destinations. These integrated transit routes smoothly combine air-conditioned coach or van travel on the mainland with high-speed catamaran sea crossings, offering travelers a hassle-free connection from major tourist hubs straight to the beaches of Koh Chang, Koh Kood, and Koh Mak.
