- Arrive at the check-in point around 30–60 minutes before departure. If your booking includes hotel pick-up, be ready at the stated pick-up time, as you may need to travel from Ao Nang to another pier before boarding the boat.
- Carefully check the departure pier, arrival point on Koh Ngai, and travel arrangement in your Booking Confirmation, as some services may stop at other islands or require a boat change along the way.
- If you can choose your seat and are prone to seasickness, the middle section of the boat is generally more comfortable than the bow. Try looking toward the horizon instead of reading or using your phone for long periods, and consider taking motion sickness medication according to the recommended instructions.
- Wear easy-to-remove, non-slip footwear, as boarding and disembarking on a small island may differ from using a mainland pier. Some services may drop passengers near the beach or use a smaller boat for the final transfer.
