Travel tips for Koh Samui - Chumphon

  • Make sure to check the correct departure and arrival pier before traveling to avoid going to the wrong location.
  • It is recommended to arrive at the check-in point at least 30–60 minutes before departure to prepare your documents, check in your luggage, and get ready for boarding.
  • Before your travel date, check the weather conditions, sea conditions, and the latest announcements from the operator, especially during the monsoon season, as schedules may be adjusted, boats may be changed, or services may be cancelled.
  • During long weekends, public holidays, festivals, or the High Season, it is recommended to book your tickets in advance, as popular ferry departures may sell out quickly.
  • If you are traveling with luggage, check the luggage allowance and the number of bags permitted according to the operator’s conditions, especially if the allowance is limited to 20 kg plus one carry-on bag per passenger.
  • Keep your phone, wallet, passport, travel documents, personal medication, and valuables in your carry-on bag rather than placing them in your checked luggage.
  • If you are prone to seasickness, consider taking motion sickness medication about 30 minutes before departure and choosing a seat near the middle of the boat, where movement is generally less noticeable.
  • It is recommended to bring a light jacket, as the air-conditioned passenger cabin may feel quite cool. A waterproof pouch or bag for your phone and electronic devices can also be useful.
  • One day before departure, check your Booking Confirmation again, including the check-in time, departure time, pier name, and the latest travel conditions, to avoid arriving at the wrong pier or missing your ferry.
