Travel tips for Koh Lipe - Phuket

  • Before travelling, carefully check the boarding point on Koh Lipe, check-in time, departure time, and arrival pier in Phuket.
  • It is recommended to arrive at the check-in point at least 30–60 minutes before departure to allow enough time for ticket checking, luggage handling, and boarding, especially as this is a long-distance route.
  • If you are travelling with luggage, check the operator’s luggage weight and baggage allowance, especially if the ticket specifies a limit of no more than 30 kg plus 1 piece of hand luggage per passenger. It is also recommended to attach a name tag or contact information to your bags.
  • Keep your mobile phone, passport, travel documents, cash, power bank, personal medication, and valuables in a small bag with you, as larger luggage may be stored together and may not be easy to access during the journey.
  • It is recommended to prepare a Dry Bag or waterproof pouch for your mobile phone, documents, and electronic devices, as seawater may splash onto passengers while boarding, getting off the Speedboat, or during the journey.
  • As the journey may take several hours at sea, passengers who are prone to seasickness should prepare or take motion sickness medication in advance according to the medication instructions, eat a light meal before travelling, and bring enough drinking water.
  • Allow extra time beyond the scheduled arrival time, as the actual journey may be affected by sea conditions, intermediate stops, passenger pick-up and drop-off points, or boat transfers along the route.
  • Before booking and again before departure, check the latest weather conditions, sea conditions, boat schedule, and seasonal operating period.
