Beautiful temple if you can stand the heat. We went on the day of a cermoney so lots of Thai's were in traditional costumes which made it more special

Great place! Wat Arun remains one of the most charming temples in Bangkok. It's definitely a place tourists should go to. You should wear long trousers and long sleeves. Highly recommended!

I went to Wat Arun on my last day trip. Since we stay at Baan Wanglang Riverside, we just take ferry (Hop On Hop Off) station that located only around 5 minutes walk from the hotel. 
At Wat Arun, we rent a traditional costume - around 150 THB per costume. We also hire a photographer that cost us 2000THB for 6 people.
It is really worth it. 
Recommend to there early in the morning.

Great experience, Iconic building

Our visit to Wat Arun was marked by the intense heat and humidity typical of Bangkok, so be prepared with plenty of water, sunscreen, and perhaps a hat to keep cool. The temple itself is beautiful, but I didn’t expect how crowded it would be.

One unique aspect of Wat Arun is the availability of photographers and traditional dresses for rent, allowing visitors to do a photoshoot. However, it seemed like everyone else had the same idea, which made the place feel more like a huge photoshoot event than a serene temple visit. This kind of ruins the mood if you're looking for a peaceful experience, so I would recommend skipping it if you're not into crowded tourist spots.

On a positive note, the architecture of Wat Arun is absolutely amazing. The temple, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is renowned for its towering spires and intricate details. The central prang is beautifully adorned with colorful porcelain and seashells, which sparkle in the sunlight, creating a stunning visual effect. The craftsmanship and artistry that went into building Wat Arun are truly impressive and worth seeing.

To beat the heat, make sure to try the exclusive Wat Arun ice cream. It’s not just eye candy but truly delicious, offering a refreshing treat after exploring the temple grounds.

In summary, while Wat Arun is undoubtedly a beautiful and architecturally significant site, the overwhelming crowds and the photoshoot atmosphere might detract from the experience. If you decide to visit, come prepared for the heat and make sure to enjoy the delicious ice cream!

Overcrowded and hard to get good pictures

Temple view is very nice. We went there by boat. Very amazing and awesome!!!!We took so many photos. So good. We will come back!
